Homemade Toasted Coconut Marshmallows

Posted by Heather Grimstead on

Whether you make these for a special celebration or any random Tuesday, these pillowy marshmallows are sure to please. Homemade marshmallows have been popping up everywhere lately and they've been on my "to-try" list for a while. For months, I heeded the warnings not to try these with a hand-held mixer but my opportunity arrived when I finally caved and invested in a Breville stand mixer (yes, I love it!). Upcycled Nut Canisters Become Office Organizers

Posted by Especially Paper on

With a little bit of pretty scrapbooking paper, nut containers are easily transformed into office organizers. If you're not attached to a particular brand of nuts, look for those that have a wrap-around label on the canister and no writing on the lid. I've found that store brands tend to work well. It was pretty fun, so I revamped for Valentine's Day with an...

How to Make a 3D Circle Garland

Posted by Especially Paper on

Paper garlands are inexpensive, easy to make, and add a nice splash of color to parties, work areas, and bedrooms. One of my favorite styles is the three-dimensional circle garland. This version is made with three 1.5" circles glued together for each ball. To make a 3 to 4 yard garland with 33 spheres, you'll need A) 99 card stock circles, B) glue, and C) string, baker's twine, or clear fishing line.    How to Make It Fold each circle in half. If you have a bone folder, that will be useful for make clean folds.  Glue one half of...
