How to Convert Cut Lines to Score Lines in Cricut Design Space

Posted by Especially Paper on

Especially Paper paper craft templates include SVG files for use with your Cricut Explore machine. When opening an SVG file in Cricut Design Space, every line comes into the program as a cut line. Some folds are set us as perforated lines as an alternative. However, you can also convert straight lines if you prefer to use the score tool. Just follow these steps!

  1. Import the SVG file.
  2. Right click on the shapes and Ungroup the lines.
  3. Select one of the fold lines, then click the scissors icon associated with the shape from the right hand tool palette.
  4. In the Layer Attributes panel, switch to Score instead of Cut.

  5. Repeat the process for each line that you want to change to a score line.
